Clutch Hub/Mainshaft Nut - Size?
« on: Monday, September 17, 2012. 10:48:42 AM. »
Howdo.

Shortly be replacing the drive belt on my '09 Electra Glide Std and I'm trying to assemble the required tools.

To this end I'd appreciate it if someone could verify for me that I'll need a 1 3/16th A/F socket to remove this nut.

Also, if anyone could advise on the length of the primary locking bar/plate I'll need to make it would speed things along.

Thanks.

Russ.

here is your locking bar...I used a piece of 3/4 oak flooring...some others used aluminum versus steel

the clutch is 1 3/16 LH threaded....compensator 1 1/2

ps: this is 04 size...verify 09

Thanks Chaps

I took delivery of the new compensator bolt today and it requires a 13/16th socket.

Also acquired a 750mm [30"] breaker bar to apply some serious torque to the mainshaft nut should it resist.

Thanks again.

Russ.
