I assume you mean the head stripped out, and not the threads? Take a sharp drill bit at just the size of the allen or torx size needed, slowly drill the center of the fastener, the head "should" pop off when you drill into the fastener, then take the derby off, remove whats left of the fastener with pliers.

Good advice on drilling the bolt, has worked several times for me.

After your done, throw the old bolts away, stop down at your local hardware store and pick up some polished stainless
1/4-20 x 5/8" allen head bolts. You can use 3/4", but watch it because they are too long on some bikes and will foul with the clutch. Check them.

take a dremel with a cutting disk and grind a slot in the head of the bolt so you can get a big straight blade screwdriver to fit.  use a screwdriver with a square shank so you can put an adjustable wrench on it for better leverage.

Some time back, someone recommended a left hand drill to drill it out in the same direction to unscrew it.  Makes sense to keep from tightening it further as you drill the head off.
Cuz I'm The Menace, that's why.

Had a set of these since the early 70's when I first got into a trade and started playing with motorcycles. They were pricey back then has well, but I still have a complete set. Cant beat them for removing small bolts.  Bob
