neutral indicating light

My indicator light on the dash of my 03 Ultra doesn't come on .

I checked & the switch is good & I have power ( 12V ) at the plug where the harness plugs into the light bar ( for the neutral light term. ,tan & black ,I believe )& seems all the others work .

Do I need to get the whole LED light bar or is there some thing else I can try ?

fleetmechanic:
Prior to '07 they are a series of small replaceable bulbs.  The neutral light burns out because it's the one getting the most use.  The bulb is a small standard auto type or HD should have it.  One of our '09s burned one out and it was 50 something bucks for the whole circuit led strip.  Yours shoud be cheap.

Cool ! I could have sworn the manual read LED.

Well, off with the outer fairing again, thanks .

Looks like the radio has to come out , to get at it though.

Billy:
Get the bulb from the dealer, it's brighter and only $3. The bulbs from the auto parts store won't last a fartin' spell.

If I am remembering correctly you don't have to pull the radio.  Two nuts will allow you to pull the tac for more room and then you just flip loose the little retainer tabs and the whole indicator bulb assembly will slide out. I used the Napa bulb and it works fine. Might be a little dimmer but I can see it.
