cranks good cold but when hot it turns over 6 or 7 times

Wife's bike cranks good when cold or warn but when it is real hot bike turns over 6 or 7 times then starts and runs with no problems.
What should I check it is not the battery because it is turning over fine. OR is that just a carb thing.

I'm not sure of the problem you are trying to describe - are you saying that the bike is hard to start when it is hot? What year/model?
I'd say you are right on if the bike cranks and starts when cold the battery is probably OK as this is the point of largest load on it.

They don't like to start at idle when warm, are you giving the throttle a slight twist as you start the warm bike? And clean the plugs, my old fatty would crank an extra turn or two when the plugs needs cleaned and gapped.

yes mine is the same. don't pump the throttle when warm, and don't use the enricher of course. start on a little throttle as HHM suggests.
