05 FLSTFI shut down and wont start.

bikes been working. got up to go on a ride and while accelerating it sputtered and shut down, have a half a tank, first time ever happen. pushed it home. tried to start later. still wont start. turns over good. but no start.   :scratch:

take off the gas cap, turn on the ignition and listen inside the tank to c if u hear the pump build pressure, or if u hear a leaking hose inside the tank..
could be the hose has a hole in it.. fill it with gas and c if it starts...
if not, have u done anything to the bike lately? messed with any wiring??

  I've read several instances of the fuel line connector being an issue. Disconnect and reconnect has solved the problem sometimes. Might be worth a look.  Buffalo

wow, did all this! heard it might be the head temp sensor. bought new one. same! removed DFO, ran the same...installed power commander, idle better but ran like crap. any body? its going to the Stealer soon. :banghead:

Need more "specific" info:
Did you fill the fuel tank and recheck? This usually eliminates the "leaky hose" variable. If it runs differently (better) then the internal hose(s) have a pinhole or 2.

When you turn on the ignition do you hear the pump prime up the system?

What year and model bike, engine, and mods?

Did you check the fuel pump fuse? The ECM fuse?

Have you done any mods, install accessories, or otherwise took anything apart and put back together recently?

Is there ANY possibility you have water or Diesel fuel in the tank?

Can you verify spark?
