What year did AMF buy into Harley?  When was the first AMF bikes?  i always thought it was 1972 .  now someone is telling me it was 1969?

Technically it was 1969 but they didn't put AMF on the tank badges until 1972.

i also thought it was 72.  my 74 sporty had half the tank covered with the amf decals.
they came off first week.
then the lack of quality control started showing.
handel bar wireing smoked first month.
lots of problems with that bike.

i still working on it....lol...
