Just got off the phone with corporate Harley and was told everything on the rebuilt motors is current style. I guess that is good news as far as the cylinder heads, camplate, oil pump, hyd. tensioners but that means you get the new type cranks also.

I had my '93 Evo remanned a few years back, and was told the motor would have any and all updates that the MoCo did, right up to the last year it was used in production. Also it will be returned to you in 100% stock the way it left the factory. If you have any Hi perf parts in or on the motor, remove them or loose them. They won't give them back.,,

mp, if you have an Evo engine ( as this is what was/is being discussed right now) for the Harley Re-man process is that any upgraded parts You installed into the motor will be removed  and tossed by the wayside.
No you will not get your  Hi-comp pistons back or your hi performance cam, these items will be replaced with stock items as would adjustable pushrods.
Harley will re and re or replace with a new part(up dated )
The engine when completed will be returned to the dealership that you chose to send it back to.
That's it in a nut shell.

99 touring bikes were TC's.

My Dad had his 88" reman. No issues at all. I think it is a great value in catastrophic failure situations for people that are happy with stock or Stage 1 type upgrades.
