Baisley Intake Clamps for Shovelheads
« on: Saturday, April 14, 2012. 10:32:40 AM. »
I got these from my buddy Dan Baisley. They were not made by his shop, a local machinist friend of his made them. Dan assures me these clamps will not leak. These are going on the STD heads that are for my blue shovel. -Ed

I'd like to know when you get them installed and how much of a pain in the butt they are to work with seeing as how there's not much room to work in between the heads. They look good.

I have mocked them up once already. They fit very well. Getting them on and off was not hard, but the engine was on the bench. With the carb off, a simple 3/16" ball driver on the end of an extension made very short work of installing and removing them.

Sorry if I missed it but are these for O ring or band seals?
They can't put anything on the internet that isn't true.

Should work on both, I think.

My current setup is STD band heads and an O-ring manifold. The intake ports on the heads has an internal step machined into it that allows the o-ring manifold to fit into it. The fit is pretty tight.

Back to the clamps. They are the same width as the band clamps that came off the bike.
