valve clatter/different rockers?

This is an 05 A motor, all bore 107 with Crane 296-2  cams,  600 lift I believe.  It has Jims 1.745 rollers on the intake and S&S 1.6 ratio rollers on the exhaust, and S&S adjustable pushrods.   I have heard that different brands of rockers is a no no.    There is end play of .02 on the rockers.  So, is this cam a "noisy" one? Are mixed brands of rockers bad?   What about the rocker endplay, do the need to be shimmed and how much?  Seems to be too much clacking on this bad boy.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  This will be my nephew's bike when he gets  back from Afghanistan.

1. From what I've seen Cranes have been noisy in TCs.. H290 is fer sure, Run one is a Roadtoad. For some reason the 290 I had in an EVO was dead quiet.
2. Doubt it. unless you put a 1.745 on on intake and 1.625 on the other intake..
3. Some say yes, some say no.. I say it ain't worth it.. You'd probably be better off changing the cam..

Is this a misprint "There is end play of .02 on the rockers." or is it .002 ?
Also agree with what max said, you'd be better off with a different cam.
