Never been there ?
Ormond area, Iron Horse Saloon/ Destination Daytona HD - I95 and US1 is the worst traffic there is it can take 1/2 hour to go 1 mile at peak times.
Main St and AIA area- Main st is congested most of the time, but if your a few blocks away it's fine
Beach St- accros the bridge from Main St has lots of vendors, not many places to stay in the immediate area
S Datona/Port Orange Plenty of places to stay, eat and easy ride to most areas - watch your speed especially here.
New Smyrna - Gilly's & Cabbage Patch PLenty of good places to ride, stay and Party
Orlando/ Sanford/Deltona/Deland 20-50 mile ride, cheaper and lots to see and do
Holly HIll- Great bars and cheap motels along US1 - Rowsie's, Chris' Lounge, the Station, Babe's Blue Room :smiled:
It's not about gun control.
It's about CONTROL.

there are alot of places depending where/what u plan on doing. if you want to party late at night, main street rocks at froggy's, boothill, etc till early morning. the hilton is walking distance from them, but you'll spend a few bucks. down the road on A1A, there are a ton of places with variable prices (either direction- N or S). if money is tight, staying on US 1 south of US 92, there are a lot of smaller hotel/motels for reasonable rates. shop early, cause they go quick. you can also plan up around ormond beach/ormond, where rossmeyer's is. campgrounds are close and reasonable too, so many ways to go. alot of people, but heck, thats why you're going...to party and see people. have fun, that's the main thing.

the event in October is called Biketoberfest. There are many places to stay. I live in the area so I dont know much about the hotel scene. But there are many new hotels and some run down ones. One thing to remember is that staying beach side may have views of the ocean but your bike will be exposed to the salty air your whole visit. Rust sucks, I would try to stay inland. Also the traffic is heavier on the beach. If you plan on doing riding dont stay at the nearest place to main street, take the ride. This whole area is loaded with events that IMO are way better then what goes on on main street.

Has event and hotel listings.

If you are into camping, Out by Cabbage Patch (Sopotnicks) you can tent or trailer.
or Up in Ormond by Destination Daytona, be advised, some biketoberfests we get shiddy
weather, it can get cold and rainy, so pick high ground (if you can find it in FL LOL)

Hotels, there are some that are super nice like Oceanwalk, Hilton, Oceanwalk has suites with kitchens, mutiple baths, bedrooms, fold out sofas, pools, it is ocean front has a bar on first floor stuff for kids if you have to bring them...

Hilton is nice but JMO is just another hotel room.. If you have a couple of Couples look into Oceanwalk Condos, and split it, you can walk to main st to party, and you are on A1A to ride, Wimmens can hit the beach if they don't want to ride...

It's all budget based, so it depends on what you want to drop $ wise...

I don't know about Biketoberfest, but with attendance down for Bike Week, a friend got a small suite at the Oceanwalk for $83.00 a night.  There are a lot of smaller motels on A1A north of Daytona in the Ormond Beach area.  They don't seem to be filled during events.

Try Motels in YellowPages.com.  Daytona Beach or Ormond Beach, you should get a lot of listings.

Biketoberfest is officially only 4 days in Daytona, but a full 10 days out in the county.

There will be one Meet&Greet during the event.
