Crane Cam Info/Advise/Experience

Anybody with any experience/info/advice on the Crane HTC 296-2 cams?  Says it likes 10.25:1 and up compression.

Master cam chart shows 2 diff 296-2 cams, one with only a 600 lift???

That's the cam Edelbrock uses in their Performer engine kit.

Personally I like/liked the Crane cams. If it fits your compression use it.

I don't know about the .019" difference in lift.

my Crane catalog shows that that cam has .619"/.619" lift.

I have set of those I'm going to try as soon as Axtell can ever get my pistons in order. I was up around 11:2-1 before tear down and ran RS657 , 9wf, 662-1 and some others but will be knocking the comp down to 10:5-1 neighborhood when it goes back together. if you look at these on the big boyz cam compare site use the Edelbrock cam for some reason the crane one's numbers are wrong

Should work pretty good..like a woods 8... The w8 has a 19d/47d pretty close..

Yep will run good, ive found that cam likes 10.8 -1.....
