Woods 9FG vs Tman 650 Gear Drive Cams
« on: Friday, May 08, 2009. 01:38:55 PM. »
I know these cams are similar, but I wanted some feedback.  Running TW-68 now and they are too much for the street even in a 131.  My build has STD heads, Boarzilla exhaust, Im going to set the compression about 10.5-1 corrected. 220ccp Thanks

Without even talking timing
The likelyhood of being quiet goes to the T-man grind.

both cams require a little more squeeze then 10.5. you can probley get away with it useing the t-man but the 9f likes more compression......

he is saying 10.5 corrected.  that is around 12.1:1 static  225psi ccc.  won't need more compression than that.

After calling & discussing cams with Tman himself, the reason that we have Tman cams to begin with was NOISE...complaints from his customers. That's why he started with his own grinds.

I'm running the Tman 625's, nice sticks, make a little bit of noise nothing that is hard to stand, but the performance is awesome.

Pull up the cam compare calculator on the big boyz site & look at how similar the Tman cams are to the Woods...
